With the gradually strengthened consciousness of the environmental protection, non-toxic、harmless and non-pollution seed coating agents were required. Now one novel environmental protection wheat seed coating agent has been made, which was made with modified natural polymer polysaccharide (referred to as PO) as the main raw material and it could have the optimum effect through adjust different conditions gradually.on the basis of the ingredient in according with the relevant standard, the effects of this wheat seed coating agent on wheats were determined, the results were as follows:The conditions when this wheat seed coating agent have the optimum effect were as follows:the pH is6, the mass fraction of the PO is16.8%.The best treated proportion is1:50in the laboratory condition.After the wheat seeds were treated with it,the germination potential was increased by8%、the germination rate increases by7%and the germination index rosed by9%compared with the traditional (50%5cycocel agent is chosen in the lab) and increased16%、19%、27%separately compared with the CK, the10th day average seeding heights were determined, it was0.9cm and1.7cm higher than the traditional and the CK, the wheat seeding grew stronger and the root was thicker significantly.The chlorophyll (CHL)content and malondialdehyde (MDA) content, peroxidase (POD) content were determined on the3th、5th and7th day respectively after the seeds were treated with4-F, the results show that the wheat seed coating agent made in lab could improve the chlorophyll content in wheat germ effectively compared with the traditional and blank CK, could enhance wheat leaf photosynthesis. It could reduce the MDA content observably,inhibit the speed of the MDA growth,enhance the antioxidant capacity of wheat germ. It can also increase the content of POD,boost the enzyme activity, increase the resistance ability of wheat seedlings,improve the resistance to cold.The results of field experiment show that the best treated was1:40, under such condition, the germination rate is6%higher than the traditional,17%higher than the CK, the root length increased by0.84cm,1.17cm respectively compared with traditional and CK, fresh weight increased by0.23g and0.29g respectively, wheat tillering number was0.28,0.96higher than traditional and CK respectively. After wheat mature, the wheat plant height were measured, the result show that the stems coated with4-F were lower than traditional blank and CK, while the ear of wheat were full. Wheat yield were analyzed, the actual yield of wheat per mu is7.3%higher than the traditional,19.4%higher than CK blank, the wheat yield per mu in theory is8%higher than the traditional,15.8%higher than CK.The protein content measured data shows that the influence of different treatments on protein content was a little obvious,while the effect on starch content was not obvious.
