Our county has the largest area of bamboo forest in the world.There were more than160species of cluster bamboo grow in our country.In Hunan province,research institutes cultivate about50species of cluster bamboo,6species and3variety of them just grow in Hunan province. Among these species,only thirteen of them have been used in landscape.The reason is that the low temperature is important evaluation criteria and mainly limiting for experting profusion of bamboo in HuNan,it also limited bamboo overwintering,. This study based on Hunan Forest Botanical Garden introduction of the51species of cluster bamboo cold analysis, through the study of the external morphology observation and internal physiological mechanisms, come to the following conclusions:1. By Natural cultivation in Changsha, We found the strong clumping bamboo species are B.textilis var.persistens, B.textilis, N.affinis, B.multiplex f.silverstripe, B.multiplex, B.multiplex f.alphonso-karri, N.affinis f.viridiflavus, N.affinis f.Striatus, B.multiplex var.riviereorum, B.multiplex f.fernleaf, B.multiplex var.incana.2. Low temperature stress tested20bamboo species, found the piece of bamboo species electrolyte leakage rate increased, the analysis of variance results, different bamboo species in various low temperature, electrolyte leakage rate differences very significant;0℃processing, B.multiplex f.silverstripe performance best Bambusa pervariabilis worst;-3℃processing, B.multiplex f.silverstripe performance best Bambusa pervariabilis worst;-6℃B.multiplex f.silverstripe best performance, Bambusa subtruncata worst;-9℃B.multiplex f.silverstripe best performance, Bambusa subtruncata worst;-15℃treatment, Bambusa multiplex--var.riviereorum has best performance, Bambusa pervariabilis worst.3. Also there is a large difference in the relative conductivity of the20species of cluster ornamental bamboo hardiness. Strength of cold hardiness:Neosinocalamus affinis> Bambusatextilis var.persistens> Bambusa multiplex> Bambusa multiplex f.alphonso-karri> Neosinocalamus affinis f.viridiflavus> Bambusa multiplex var.riviereorum> Bambusa multiplex f.silverstripe> Bambusa multiplex f.fernleaf> Dendrocalamus latiflorus> Bambusa longispiculata> Lingnania chungii> Bambusa eutuldoides var.viridi-vittata> Bambusa uldoides f.swolleninternode> Bambusa gibba> Neosinocalamus affinis f.Striatus> Bambusa albo-lineata> Bambusa eutuldoides> Lingnania intermedia> Bambusa subtruncata> Bambusa pervariabilis.4. The level of proline and its hardiness might be some positive correlation, but the correlation is not obviouly. Take proline content as cold hardiness test indicators need to be further explored.
