Applied Research On The Local Woody Plants In Wuxi City Green Space

With the development of the city, the urban environment has aroused widespread attention, and the positiong of the urban green land is more and more important. Wuxi city is a hub of communications in the Taihu lake basin, and is known as "the pearl of Taihu lake". Wuxi has beautiful scenery and long history.Wuxi is committed to building national ecological garden city, and takes the construction of urban green space as an important task. Along with the urban landscape evaluation standards promulgated, Wuxi sharped developed local woody plant project. This paper takes this opportunity to systematically discuss the application of local woody plants in urban green space.According to the law of Standard for classification of urban green space, this article selects the park green space, attached green space and other green space. The investigative areas include18sample plots and54quadrats. Based on the composition of local woody plant, detailly analyze the phytocoenology and local woody plant index. The main results are as follows:(1) The composition and community characteristic of local woody plant. There are186types of woody plants which belong to56families and118apecies. The local plants are102species, naturalized species are14types, and domesticated species are70types. It presents the local plant is priority and domesticated specie is secondary. The Wuxi urban green space is consisted of Cinnamomum camphora, Celtis sinensis, Osmanthus fragrans, Acer palmatum, Rhododendron pulchrum and Ligustrum quihoui, which are advantage in abundance, frequency and summed dominance ratio. The Cinnamomum camphora and Osmanthus fragrans should be controlled.(2) The study of local woody plant index. The local woody plant index of Wuxi is0.92, which is up to the standard. The analysis result indicates the the local woody plant index of G4green space is the least, especially the G41green space. In the four administrative areas, the index of Xinqu is least. It also finds that the recurrence phenomenon of local woody plants is serious, and the type of naturalized specie is poor.(3) The suggestions of improving Wuxi urban green space. The basic solution is increases the species of local plants, and the important solution is controlled use the exotic plants. In addition, in order to offer better guarantee, it is suggested that build monitor and maintennace management system for locan woody plants.
