During2012and2013, the harm conditions, catch technology, borrow structure and gas composition were investigated in high-incidence area of zokor in Maqu county, Luqu, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The main results are as follows:1. On the bases of overall consideration for borrow structure, caulking habit, and field power source restrict, a high voltage mousetrap, suitable for placing inside borrows, having independent power supply system, triggering by caulking activity, was worked out.2. An intelligent mousetrap combining the function of both tunnel position detecting and zokor catching was worked out by taking advantage of modern infrared technoloty.3. CO2and N2O content between effective tunnel and ineffective tunnel differed significantly. The concentration of these two gases could be used as predictable index of effective tunnel.4. On the above-mentioned principles, a survey meter of effective tunnel was worked out.
