Sophora alopecuroides has great power of drought resistance and salt resistance, meanwhile, it is rich in nutrition. The distribution area of S. alopecuroides in our country is about1.8million hm2, and its wild hay production is around5,000,000t. The utilization of S. alopecuroides as a forage is severely limited for its bad palatability caused by containing alkaloid. To seek optimal mixed silage radio of S. alopecuroides and corn straw and provide technical support for effective exploitation of wild resources, S. alopecuroides and corn straw were mixed and silaged at radio of10:0,8:2,6:4,4:6,2:8and0:10, in this study. Besides, the fermentation quality, nutrition composition and alkaloid content were measured after30,45and60d ensilage, and then the palatability of silage for sheep was also measured. The main results were as follows:1. The result showed that pH and ammonia/total nitrogen were mainly affected by the mixed silage ratio, while lactic acid, acetic acid and propionic acid influenced by mixed silage, time and the combined effect of those interactions, and mixed silage remains the most important factor. With the increasing of S. alopecuroides proportion, pH and ammonia/total nitrogen of silage were also increased, while the lactic acid had a descending trend. When the mixed ratio of S. alopecuroides and corn straw was2:8, the pH value of silage reduced to3.98, and when the proportion of S. alopecuroides was20%or less, pH value of silage was less than4.2, which met the requirement of high-quality silage.2. The nutrition composition of mixed silage showed that with the increasing of the proportion of S. alopecuroides, crude protein of silage was increased, while neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber had descending trends. When the mixed ratio of S. alopecuroides and corn straw was2:8, the crude protein content of silage was reduced to58.83%, which was higher than that of single corn straw silage. The crude protein content of silage was significantly positively related to the proportion of S. alopecuroides. The regressive equation of crude protein content (y) of silage and proportion of S. alopecuroides (x) was y=0.0929x+8.8381(R2=0.9125).3. The alkaloid content of silage was significantly reduced (P<0.05) with the decreasing of the proportion of S. alopecuroides. The alkaloid content of mixed silage with S. alopecuroides and corn straw ratio of2:8was66.02%lower than raw material of S. alopecuroides in average. The total alkaloid content of silage was significantly negatively correlated with the proportion of S. alopecuroides. The regressive equation of total alkaloid content (y) of silage and proportion of S. alopecuroides (x) was y=0.0160x+0.4800(R2=0.9619).4. Sheep palatability measured results showed that, mixed silage with10%and15%of S. alopecuroides and45d’s fermentaion time had a really good palatable, its crude protein content may be increased by1and1.5percentage points than corn single reservoir. Its total alkaloid content could be reduced from2.56%to0.50%. The above ratio of5. alopecuroides can be totally eaten by hunger sheep.
