Objective:To evaluate the motion of interventricular septum in patientswith atrail septal defect before and after cardiac surgery byomnidirectional M-mode echocardiography and strain and strain rate imaging.Method:30subjects with congenital atrial septal defect. To obtainthe myocardial velocities and accelerations of the basal segment, middlesegment and apex segment by Omnidirectional M-mode echocardiographyimmediately before and after the surgery. To collect the Strain and StrainRate by SRI at the same time. Going on the correlation analysis of the twomethods,to further verify the feasibility of the Omnidirectional M-modeechocardiography. Measuring the LVESD LVEDD LVESV LVEDV and EF by twodimension echocardiography. Results:Both the velocities and accelerations are lower afterthe surgery than before in most of the segments (P<0.05).It turns out thatthe Omnidirectional M-mode and strain and strain rate imaging have certainrelevance. The EF LVEDD LVESD LVEDV LVESV are all increasing after thesurgery. Conclusion:The motion of interventricular septum is decreasedimmediately after the cardiac surgery.Omnidirectional M-modeechocardiography can effectively evaluate the motion of the myocardial. Thegeneral function of left ventricular is better after the surgery than before.
