ObjiectiveIn2009, to investigate current situation of knowledge, attitude andpractice in women of child-bearing age by folic acid supplement of freeproject implementation in Hunan province. In order to providesuggestions and basis for key project in the future.MethodsFrom July1to December31in2012, the study in Hunan provincehas chosen6representative cities by multi-stage sampling, in5-6counties each selected randomly,18-45years old and lived in the area formore than5years of married women of childbearing age3000people asthe research object, knowledge, attitude, behavior of folic acidsupplement questionnaire. A total of2925valid questionnaires, thequalified rate is94.16%. Data were analyzed by SPSS18.0software,mean±standard deviation in the quantitative data description statistics,qualitative data using frequency tables; statistical inference: single factoranalysis using t test, ANOVA or chi-square test, multivariate analysisusing multiple linear regression and logistic regression. Test levelα=0.05. Results1. awareness of folic acid supplement knowledge rate is low ingeneral, the highest rate of only52.31%known each problem, theaverage score of knowledge was4.04±1.22.2. the research object on "whether you think it is necessary to takefolic acid?" A positive attitude accounted for43.24%; on "whether torecommend them taking folic acid?" Positive attitude, accounted for46.86%.3.64.43%of subjects had taken folic acid, wherein thepre-pregnancy folic acid accounted for only22.8%; taking the way everyday, taking29.78%.4. the results of multivariate analysis showed: knowledge, attitude,behavior research object is influenced by the culture degree, occupation,family income, urban and rural distribution and other factors.Conclusion1. The knowledge of women of childbearing age in HunanProvince of folic acid supplements to grasp not comprehensive, relativelynegative attitude, to take eugenics poor health behavior.2. The impact of women of childbearing age folic acid supplementsrelated knowledge, attitudes and behavior factors mainly a cultural level,household income, occupation, urban and rural.3. it is necessary to lower level of education, low-income, unmarried, married, not pregnant or rural residents flexible and effective healtheducation to improve their understanding of the importance of folic acidsupplements to increase the level of related knowledge and promote itstake health row.
