Objective:To study the clinical value of sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB) topredict axillary lymph node metastasis. And to analyze the influence factors such asposition of tumors, tumor size, age, histological types to the detection rate of SLN; Observethe survival and prognosis situation of SLNB. Methods: A retrospective study wasconducted to analyze150cases of breast cancer’s sentinel lymph node biopsy on theconsent of patients in the affiliated tumor hospital of Xinjiang Medical University fromJuly2009to May2010.All of Patients were performed the radionuclide tracer combinedwith methylene blue to locate the SLN. Select different surgical way according to the theSLNB. Results:148patients’ SLN were detected successfully in all150cases,only2cases were not detected.55postive cases,5false negative cases. The detection rate was98.7%(148/150),The sensitivity was91.7%(55/60), the accuracy rate was95.4%(104/109),The false negative rate was8.3%(5/60). Follow-up after surgery32-42month, average37month, patients without ALND has lower complications than ALNDpatients. The survival and metastasis rates had no statistical differences. Conclusion:TheSLNB can predict situation of axillary lymph node accurately. The position oftumors, tumor size, age, histological types have no influence to the SLNB. In early stagebreast cancer, negative SLN cases can avoid ALND.
