It was studied by using the optical microscope, transmission electron microscope, agarose gel electrophoresis(AGE), TUNEL, SP to detect the influence of gynostemma polysaccharide on lymphocyte apoptosis and proliferation of the spleen and the thymus of mouse through physiological status and the hexadecadrol induce apoptosis model, then, it will be the basis to the further study and the research of gynostemma polysaccharide immune mechanism.The result of morphology:the apoptosis cells were found in all groups of spleen and thymus on physiological status, the feature of apoptosis was found in apoptosis group and the polysaccharide group in apoptosis model, chromatin pyknosis and cohesion of the spleen and the thymus lymphocyte cell nucleus, some of it can be formed the apoptotic body. AGE showed DNA ladder at the apoptosis group and the gynostemma group. The result of TUNEL said that the gynostemma polysaccharide had the stimulation on the physiological status and the apoptosis model.The result of statistical analysis:the50mg/kg gynostemma polysaccharide can provoke the renew of the spleen and the thymus lymph cell on physiological status.Every concentration of gynostemma can protect the cell apoptosis of spleen and the thymus in apoptosis model, the apoptosis cell down with the concentration rising, which was significantly difference(P<0.01).In conclusion, the gynostemma polysaccharide in concentration of50mg/kg-200mg/kg can increase the supersession of immune for organ physiological mouse, and the gynostemma polysaccharide can restrain the cell apoptosis in apoptosis model.
