Object:The study aims to explore the disease spectrum and percentage trend of the infectious hospitalized patients in an infectious diseases hospital from2004to2010and also conducts an epidemiological and clinical characteristic analysis of various viral hepatitis, occupying59.46%of total infectious cases. This provides basis for the infectious disease prevention and control, and also reference for the scientific management, health service and working emphasis of the infectious disease hospital.Method:It conducts a quality inspection of8167infectious patients’medical records in an infectious diseases hospital between2004and2010. Disease diagnosis methods should be in accordance with International Classification of Diseases10(ICD-10) and the seventh edition of textbook of "Infectious Diseases ", editored by Yang Shaoji, etc. Classification statistics are gained by the first diagnosis of hospital discharge register and data is input by Excel. By employing descriptive epidemiology method, it analyses hospitalized cases of infectious diseases according to their disease constitution, disease order, main transmission route, age and other factors of7years; according to its different types, time, space, population distribution, by integrating admission and discharging of patients, the average hospitalization time and insurance categories and so on, the study uses SPSS13.0software to achieve statistical analysis of epidemiological and clinical characteristics of various types of viral hepatitis, the level of statistical tests P<0.05was considered statistically significant.Result:Between2004and2010, the inpatients were mainly patients with Hepatitis B and C, hardly any Hepatitis A. It shows fluctuation in disease constitution, mainly affected by the admitted cases of Hepatitis B, Measles, H1N1influenza, etc. Among them, viral hepatitis shows an overall upward trend, and it can be divided into Hepatitis A, B, C, and E according to pathogen, with a corresponding percentage of0.68,88.67,7.29and3.36. They occur in each year each month, more reported cases in spring than summer. The regional distribution covers mainly in the city and county. The sex ratio is3.66to1. The age of onset changes from7months to86years old. For hepatitis A, the high-occurrence rate age group is from10to29years old, hepatitis B from30to49years old, hepatitis C from40to59years old, hepatitis E from40to59years old. The high-occurrence occupation of hepatitis A, B, and E is mainly workers and farmers, while hepatitis C covers retirees with31.07percent. There are scarcely acute and risk cases among various types of hepatitis, and clinic prognosis mainly tend to improve with the average hospitalization time of24.73days. Payment of medical expenses predominantly come from social health insurance with a combination with commercial insurance and other payment methods. Conclusion:The disease prevention institutions and the relevant departments shall focus on prevention and control work of Hepatitis B and C, especially Respiratory and blood-borne infectious disease. According to the falling morbidity of Hepatitis A and increasing epidemic trend of Hepatitis B and C, the prevention and treatment of the latter should be strengthen and the focus should be put on the immunization prevention, health education, supervision and monitoring of key population and key area. At the same time, the government should gradually standardize the diagnosis and treatment to improve the effective and to reduce mortality. And, the health administrative departments should also strengthen the cooperation between departments, the Propaganda and education of infectious diseases and improve the awareness of disease prevention. They should also employ centralized treatment management and convergence case-management of infectious diseases, in order to control infectious source bitterly, to cut off transmission route and to protect susceptible population.
