| Objective: To assess the value of ultrasonography combined with magneticresonance imaging diagnosing breast cancer. Methods:120cases of breast cancerconfirmed histologically had ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging fordiagnosis and differential diagnosis. To make combination diagnosis according to clinicalfindings, sonography, magnetic resonance imaging, and combination of both modalitiesand the statistic analysis of data. Results:Sensitivity of diagnosing breast cancer withultrasonography was82.1%, and sensitivity of diagnosing breast cancer with magneticresonance imaging was80.2%. Sensitivity of ultrasonography and magnetic resonanceimaging together was91.8%,which was different significantly (P<0.05) from thesensitivity obtained by ultrasonography or magnetic resonance imaging alone. There wasno significant difference between ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging. Conclusion:Combined two modalities can increase the diagnostic sensitivity of breastcancer; and has the significant feasibility of clinical application. |
