Diagnostic Value Of Plasma(l,3)-β-D-glucan Detection For Deep Tissue Fungal Infection

Objective:To study the clinical signifieance of Plasma(l,3)-β-D-glucan in diagnosisof clinical deep tissue fungal infeetion.Methods: we analysis the patient who admitted tothehospitalb…etween.2011.06-2012.11.by.the.criteria.of.IFI,all.the.the.subjective.ar.divided.into.two.Groups,group1-IFI,group2-non-IFIgroups,g.monitoring the differentPlasma(l,3)-β-D-glucan,and calculating the sencitivity, specificity, positive predictivevalue and the negative predictive value. Results:In ifi group, the candida and theAspergillus fumigates are the determinant fungles of fungal infection. In the patientwith Aspergillus fumigates,the Candida albicans is the key pathogen.In the ifi group,theconcentration of (l,3)-β-D-glucan is （169.73±164.34）pg/nl,the non ifi group, theconcentration of (l,3)-β-D-glucan is(12.58±9.03)pg/nl, the Statistical differences issignificant..in the IFI froup, the sencitivity of G test is68.18%, thespecificity.is.77.27%,the.positive.predictive.valueis.75.00%,the.negative.predictive.value.is.70.83%.Conclusion:1)Plasma(l,3)-β-D-glucan detection can help clinicians earlydiagnose the invasive fungal infections which converitional methods are hard to diagnose.It is especially suitable for early diagnosis of candida and aspergillusinfection.2)Plasma(l,3)-β-D-glucan detection can be a specific marker for clinical deeptissue fungal infection.It can be used to evaluate the severity of deep tissue fungalinfections.3)The advantage of plasma(l,3)-β-D-glucan detection is simple,rapid andsensitivity.
