Expression Of PTEN、VEGF And Ki-67in Glioma And Their Clinical Significances | Posted on:2014-08-20 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:X M Gao | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2254330401988701 | Subject:Surgery | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective: To investigate expressions of phosphatase and tensin homologdeleted on chromosome ten (PTEN), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)and Ki-67in glioma tissues, and their correlations with gliomamalignancy. Methods: The expression of PTEN、VEGF and Ki-67in60cases ofglioma and10cases of normal brain tissues were detected byimmunohistochemistry, and their correlations with glioma were statisticallyanalyzed. Results: There was a significant difference in the positive rates ofPTEN、VEGF and Ki-67between normal brain tissues and glioma (P<0.05).There was a significant difference between low grade glioma and high gradeglioma (P<0.05). In normal brain tissue, the expression of PTEN was highter. Thepositive reaction rate of PTEN was decreased with the increase of tumormalignancy. The expression of VEGF and Ki-67in normal brain tissues were littledetected. The positive reaction rate of VEGF and Ki-67was increased with theincrease of tumor malignancy. Conclusions: The decrease of the expression ofPTEN may have very important effect on development and growth of glioma. Theexpression of VEGF and Ki-67mirrors the general rule of cell multiplication anddifferentiation of glioma. Combined detection can estimat the biological behaviourand prognosis of the patients more exactly. | Keywords/Search Tags: | glioma, PTEN, VEGF, Ki-67, immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
