Lipophilic Constituents And Preliminary Bioactivity Research On Schisandra Glaucescens

Schisandra glaucescens Diels is a woodiness lianas, which is used as a folkmedicine for the treatments of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), cough with dyspnea,spontaneous sweat, night sweat, chronic diarrhea and neurasthenia. By columnchromatography, including Silica gel, Toyopearl HW-40C and semipreparative HPLC,seventeen compouds were isolated from P.E.extracts of Schisandra glaucescens Dielson the basis of spectroscopic methods, including two new compounds,2-hydroxy-11,12-dehydrocalamenene (1) and7S-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-8R,8′R-dimethyl-8′R-hydroxyl-7′R-methoxyl-7′R-(3′,4′-methylenedioxyphenyl)-tetrahydrofuran (2),one new natural product erythro-1-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-4-(3,4-methylen-edioxyphenyl)-2,3-dimethyl-butane (17) together with fourteen known compounds.Compouds6，8-14were isolated from the genus for the first time and all thecompounds were isolated from the plant for the first time. The activity of the P.E.extracts, EtoAc extracts and n-BuOH extracts against biabetes were evaluated in vitro.All the three extracts showed no apparent positive anti-biabetes activity. The values ofinhibition percent of volatile oil and compounds against HCT116and MDA-MB-231were also evaluated. Compared with the negative control，volatile oil and compound7showed positive anticancer activity.
