Schisandra glaucescens Diels is a vine plant mainly distributed in the southeastern Sichuan and western Hubei Provinces in China. It is used as a folk medicine for the treatments of rheumatoid arthritis(RA) cough with dyspnea, spontaneous sweat, night sweat, chronic diarrhea and neurasthenia. In the previous work from our laboratory, seventeen compounds were isolated from P.E. extracts of Schisandra glaucescens Diels, including two new ones were isolated from the stems of S. glaucescens.EA Frac. was further separated by column chromatography(CC), including silica gel, MCI gel, ODS-A, Toyopearl HW-40 C, Toyopearl HW-40 F, Sephadex LH-20, high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) and preparative thin layer chromatography(PTLC).19 compounds were isolated from EtoAc. and n-BuOH. extracts of Schisandra glaucescens Diels, their structures were respectively confirmed by extensive spectroscopic methods, and comparing with the corresponding literature data, respectively. Compounds 1-2, 8-9, 12-13, 15-16, 18-19 were isolated from the genus for the first time and all compounds 1-2, 8-9, 12-13, 15-19 were isolated from the plant for the first time.
