On The Academic Thoughts Of Zhangjingyue In The Treatment Of Phlegm Syndrome

Objective: According to the research of the relevant theories on phlegm syndrome andtreatment experience from JingYue Encyclopedia and other works of ZhangJingyue,academic ideas about phlegm syndrom of ZhangJingyue were summerized and classified.Methods: First of all, through the study of JingYue Encyclopedia, Class of Neijing, Class ofNeijingⅡ, the theory of phlegm syndrome was collated and summarized by using traditionalphilological method.Second, prescriptions to treat phlegm syndrome diseases in JingYueEncyclopedia were analysed and classified.Based on this,the relevant database wasestablished.And the representative prescription and herbs would be discovered.Results: ZhangJingyue, the cause of phlegm syndrome pathogenesis, syndromedifferentiation, treatment and other aspects of identification, has its unique and academictheory,he not only points out “sputum sputum is different, can not distinguish”, and pointedout that phlegm and relations, namely “the five visceral phlegm”. The treatment of phlegmsyndrome should be on “pay attention to yuanqi”,“find its root” an important point ofview,also pointed out that Jianpiwenshen on the treatment of phlegm syndrome and theimportance of prevention and cure spit phlegm disease. As the representive of warm-tonifying school of Ming dynasty,ZhangJingyue attached importance to yang energy andwarm-tonifying.In clinic, ZhangJingyue abide the TCM principle treatment according tosyndrome differentiation,while not pure tonifying without reducing each time. ZhangJingyuealthough strongly opposed the abuses of cold-natured herbs harmful to spleen and stomach inJin and Yuan dynasty, he did not avoid using cold-natured herbs to treat hot-natured diseases.Based on the study of Neijing and other schools, ZhangJingyue developed the theory ofphlegm syndrome and expanded the methods of using herbs to treat phlegm syndromediseases.
