The Academic Ideas And Drug Characteristics Of Zhang Jingyue On Treating Cough

Objective:Zhang Jingyue was a famous physician of Ming Dynasty,Through studying his cough theory and releated prescription,author sorted out Zhang Jingyue' s academic thought of treating cough and summarized the thinking and characteristics of releated prescription.Methods:through studying the detail in the original of cough treatment,and using the method of traditional literature,author summarized,organized,and sorted out Zhang Jingyue's academic thoughts on treating cough.At the same time,author sorted out the releated prescription in Jingyue Quanshu.The frequency and rate of prescription drugs was computed by the use of Statistics,and cited graphical comparison.Last,this paper conclued the characteristics of cough medicine.Results:Involved 34 Chinese herbs in a total of 15 prescriptions.15 prescriptions in new eight square were used to treat cough by Zhang Jingyue,as follows:9 tonic prescription,2 thermal prescription,1 scattered prescription,3 medium prescription.Accroding to Chinese Pharmacology,34 Chinese herbs are classified as follows:2 herbs for relieving exterior syndrome,3 herbs for clearing heat,1 herb for eliminating dampness,4 herbs for dispelling internal cold,1 herb for regulating QI flow,2 herbs for invigorating blood circulation and eliminating stasis,4 herbs for relieving cough and reducing sputum,16 herbs for tonifying deficiency,1 herb for astringing lung.Zhang Jingyue divided cough into exogenous and internal injury,in accordance with this principle to assess the related prescriptions in Jingyue Quanshu.Cough;clinical application of exogenous cough have 2 medium prescription,1 thermal prescription,1 scattered prescription;clinical application of internal injury cough have 9 Tonic prescription,2 thermal prescription,1 medium prescription.Conclusion:Through the analysis,it is preliminarily considered that Zhang Jingyue in treating cough used following four prescriptions:tonic prescription,thermal prescription,scattered prescription,medium prescription.Zhang Jingyue divided cough into exogenous and internal injury,exogenous cough used thermal prescription,scattered prescription and medium prescription;internal cough applied tonic prescription,medium prescription,and thermal prescription.From above cough medicine,author concluded that Zhang Jingyue used diversity measures to treat cough.In addition to paied attention to applying herbs for tonifying deficiency,herbs for relieving cough and reducing sputum,herbs for dispelling internal cold,but also attached importance to herb for relieving exterior syndrome,herb for regulating QI flow,herb for eliminating dampness,herbs for invigorating blood circulation and eliminating stasis,herb for astringing lung.Zhang Jingyue chiefly centred in eliminating phlegm and relieving cough to treat exogenous cough,the use of drugs was manily on resolving phlegm and relieving exterior syndrome;the treatment of internal cough emphasized on strengthening the spleen and tonifying the body,the use of drugs lean on Warming Yang and nourishing yin.
