Purpose:To investigate the clinical significance of HBV-LP in hepatitis B diagnosis and treatment, by researching on the co-relation of ALT、HBeAg、HBV DNA copy number and HBV-LP content during HBV patients’antiviral treatment.Methods:Choose100CHB patients receiving antiviral treatment in Yantai Infectious Diseases Hospital. Collect5ml fasting venous blood respectively before antiviral treatment and the12th week, the24th week and the36th week of antiviral treatment, conducting serum separation and low temperature preservation in-20℃. The control group consists of50healthy subjects with negative five items of hepatitis B test results, normal ALT levels and without HAV, HCV, HDV, HEV, HGV infection. using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay to conduct Determination of HBV-LP and hepatitis B two half-and-half, using quantitative real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR assay for detection of HBV DNA, the positive rate of various indexes were compared by χ2test, analysis of variance using different HBV-LP groups, correlation between HBV-LP content and HBV copy number of DNA by using correlation and regression analysis. Results:To detect the serum of100CHB patients before receiving antiviral treatment, no significant difference in positive rate between HBV-LP and HBV DNA (x2=5.24, P>0.05), and a significant difference in positive rate between HBV-LP and HBeAg (x2=30.55, P<0.05). In HBeAg positive group and negative group, the difference of the positive rate of HBV-LP was not significant (P>0.05). Analysis of variance showed HBV-LP absorbance of different HBV copy of the DNA group were significantly different (P<0.01). The correlation and regression analysis between numberical HBV-DNA copy number and HBV-LP absorbance, r=0.8564, the regression equation for Y=0.2211X-0.2945, P<0.05, show that the content of HBV-LP and HBV-DNA copy number has a positive correlation. Control group of HBV DNA, of HBeAg and HBV-LP are negative. After antiviral treatment, HBV-DNA positive rate was lower than that of HBV-LP, the difference of positive rate between HBV DNA and HBV-LP was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:HBV-LP content in CHB patients serum has a positive correlation with HBV DNA, that can display HBV replication of CHB patients especially the patients of HBeAg positive. In the grassroots hospital where HBV DNA detection is not available, HBV LP can be used as a new indicator of HBV replication instead of HBV DNA. In the anti-HBV treatment, the disappearance of HBV-LP is later than that of HBV DNA and HBeAg. When HBV DNA is negative or in lower range, the clinical doctors can regard HBV-LP as a judging indicator of the end of antiviral treatment for the patients.
