A Descriptive Study Of Birth Defect In The Past Five Years In Dalian City

Objective：Through the analysis of2008~2012birth defects in Dalian City, we learnthe status quo and popular rule of birth defects in dalian. It helps to control birth defects,prevent and reduce the occurrence of birth defects in children and improve the quality ofbirths. It provide the basis for the government to develop strategies and measures City’smonitoring dataMethod: Get the incidence date of birth defects from Maternal and Child HealthHospital of Dalian., totle232894cases from2008to2012（Include a live birth, stillbirth,stillbirth, pregnancy induced labor in28weeks plan full perinatal)，and descriptiveanalysis of the data. Analysis the birth defects overall situation, happen overall gender,and happen conditions between urban and rural areas, major birth defects constituteratio (%), the condition of major birth defects happen gender in dalian city from2008to2012. EXCEL2007is adopted to establish the database, calculate the index. Usespss13.0software for data analysis, use the chi-square test comparing incidencebetween groups..Result: From2008to2012, the city monitored a total of232894cases of perinatal,in which1970cases were birth defects. The total incidence rate was84.59/million. Theaverage incidence rate of birth defect in the city was90.32/million, and in thecountryside it was74.49/million. The incidence rate in China is significantly higher inthe urban areas than in the rural areas. Difference was statistically significant (χ~2=21.817, P <0.05). The incidence of birth defects for male was93.46/million, for womenwas74.89/million. The incidence of men is higher than it in women. Difference wasstatistically significant (χ~2=2.441, P <0.05). Incidence of male was obviously higherthan female in anal atresia or stenosis,many toes, outer ear deformities, total cleft lip,and and toes. Incidence of cleft palate women were significantly higher than the male.The top5birth defects are congenital heart disease, many toes, external earmalformations, total cleft lip and and toes from2008to2012in Dalian. Their proportions were19.27%,12.91%,8.61%,5.61%and5.29%. Composition ofcongenital heart disease is increasing year by year. The constitutionratio of many toes、the outer ear malformation also increased, while the composition of NTD showed atrend of decreasing, the composition of water on the brain is also in gradually reduce.Conclusion:1.Dalian City in2008to2012perinatal incidence of birth defects wasnot obvious change.It change from83/million to86/million. Incidence of birth defectsin dalian significantly was below the national level and the inflection point state.2.Birth defect incidence in city was higher than in rural areas from2008to2012in Dalian, incidence of birth defects in men was higher than women.3.The top5birth defects are congenital heart disease, many toes,external ear malformations, total cleft lip and and toes. Congenital heart disease is themost common birth defects.
