Study On Risk Management Of Acupuncture TCM

Risk management was introduced into China’s financial field from abroad in the late of last century, and it has been grown up maturely over30years. However, applying this method into the traditional Chinese medical(TCM) treatment is still is in its infancy. For example, the study of acupuncture medical risk management is still blank in China. On the basis of the theory of risk management and the clinical acupuncture cases of Zhjiang Hangzhou Yuhang Hospital, this paper analyzes acupuncture medical risk during clinical work and attempts to put forward some suggestions on the sustainable development of risk management of Chinese medicalThis paper is divided into five parts.Part I:the paper analyzes low charge in filiform needle acupuncture which leads to the medical risk in the current clinical services. It also describes medical risk management views and opinions by current major domestic and foreign scholars and experts.Part Ⅱ:the paper introduces relevant theory of risk, risk management and the medical risks.Part Ⅲ:the paper discusses the risk of filiform needle acupuncture from inducing four direct causes which are needle syncope, needle sticking, needle breakage and hematoma, and five aspects of risk which are abolition of TCM, the risk of Chinese medicine westernized, the risk of management system, the risk of talents training and the risk of acupuncture treatment itself by using the theory of risk.Part Ⅳ:by analyzing the medical risk of clinical acupuncture in Yuhang Hospital, the paper proposes some suggestions about staff acupuncture and training, choice of disease, cooperation between departments as well as publicity of medical services.Part Ⅴ:on the base of analyzing theory and clinical cases, the paper proposes that higher authorities should adjust with the current management ideas and concepts of TCM and pay more attention to protect traditional Chinese medicine and medical personal training.
