ObjectiveTo select the optimum adjuvants on the slow-release periodontal film of thecompound tea polyphenols, determine the prescription, preparation craft andquality control methods of the slow-release periodontal film of the compoundtea polyphenols. Investigate efficiency of it in type2diabetic mellitus withchronic periodontitis, provide the scientific basic for Traditional ChineseMedicine in the treatment of type2diabetic mellitus with chronic periodontitis.Methods(1) Slow-release periodontal film preparation research: Selecting theappropriate preparation adjuvants of periodontal film at the indexes of vitrorelease and adhesion time, then using orthogonal experimental design method, determining the best prescription and preparation craft of the periodontal filmthrough the investigation of the appearance traits and dissolve indicators, monitoring the content of compound tea polyphenols and controlling theimpurity of the preparation in the slow-release periodontal film of the compoundtea polyphenols by RP-HPLC, so that the quality of the slow-release periodontalfilm makes accords with the film demandsā€¯Chinese pharmacopoeiaā€¯2010edition.(2) Efficiency of slow-release periodontal film in type2diabetic mellituswith chronic periodontitis:108type2diabetic mellitus with chronic periodontitis were selected and divided into three groups randomLy. Experimental group A(n=36) were treated with slow-release periodontal film of the compound teapolyphenols, experimental group B (n=36) were treated with minocyclinehydrochloride periodontal film of the compound tea polyphenols, while controlgroup received conventional oral treatment. To investigate GI, PD, PLI, AL ofperiodontal indexes in type2diabetic mellitus with chronic periodontitisperiodontal tissue only before and after treatment for4weeks and8weeks. Theeffect of slow-release periodontal film of the compound tea polyphenols on type2diabetic mellitus with chronic periodontitis was observed.Results(1) Through the vitro release test, adhesion time and orthogonal test todetermine the optimum adjuvants of periodontal film were PVA(17-88), CMC-Na,carbomer, the optimal prescription were: polyphenols1.6g, xylitol0.8g,CMC-Na3.0g, PVA(17-88)2.0g, carbomer2.0g, Gelatin1.5mL, distilledwater100mL.(2) According to the optimal prescription of the periodontal film, it can notconstant speed release in the provisions of the solvent.(3) According to the optimal prescription of the periodontal film, treat type2diabetic mellitus with chronic periodontitis, GI, PD, PLI, AL indexes havestatistically significant difference and have not adverse reaction before and aftertreatment.ConclusionsThe quality of the slow-release periodontal film of the compound teapolyphenols makes accords with the film demands in2010edition Chinesepharmacopoeia. The periodontal film can extend adhesion time, slow down thedrug release rate, and extend time in the drug act on the lesion site. Periodontalfilm has obvious curative effect in removal pathogenic bacteria of periodontalmechanical treatment can not reach area of plaque, and its treatment of type2 diabetic mellitus with chronic periodontitis have very good developmentprospect.
