Objective:The investigation, according to students from five colleges in Chengdu, was based on the epidemiology of random sampling, in order to further understand the targeted population prevalence and risk factors of functional constipation, and relevant correlation between psychological factors and functional constipation. The aim is to effectively guide students understanding of constipation, set reasonable control constipation scheme, which lays the foundation for the further study of college students of functional constipation, and ultimately improve the quality of life of college students.Methods:With the critical review of literatures, consulting experts specialized on the field of constipation and psychology, according to the diagnostic criteria of chronic functional constipation (Rome III criteria), by means of investigation and the basic function of data constipation diagnostic scale, SCL90self-rating symptom scale, life event scale (LES,) the survey of1000students from five universities in Chengdu city were collected, statistical analysis of prevalence rate and related factors was processed with SPSS17.0chi-square test and two yuan logistic regression analysis, finally draw the conclusion of hypothesis testing.Results:The prevalence rate of functional constipation in Chengdu college students is9.37%. Research shows that more women than men are more prone to constipation, with significant significance. There is no prevalence difference in the two age group of20-25years of age (including20and25years old) and aged26-30years (including26and30years old). The higher level of education, the higher the prevalence of constipation.Different eating habits influence prevalence rate in functional constipation, which shows compare with bland diet, more students with spicy and meat products suffer from constipation. No prevalent significant difference was found in the students who sleep6-8hours a day and students who sleep8-10hours, but constipation is more common to be seen in those who often stay up late than non-stay up. Also students with average daily exercise less than30minutes are more easier to be found constipation than those who with more than30minutes exericise. The results of SCL-90table and the LES table showed that obvious psychological symptoms in patients with chronic functional constipation were more than those without obvious symptoms, in which of F2(force), F3(sensitivity), F4(depression), F5(anxiety), F8(paranoia), F9(psychoticism) were dangerous psychological factors for functional constipation college students in Chengdu city.Conclution:1000samples were collected from fresh students in Chengdu5universities with982available samples. This investigation objectively reflect the analysis of prevalence rate and related factors of college students in Chengdu city functional constipation. Sex. culture degree, diet, sleep, exercise and psychological factors in the prevalence of constipation has close correlation, at the same time, psychological factors, through the analysis of logistic two classification and regression.
