Variations Of Plasma Vaspin And CRP Levels In Elderly Patients With Coronary Heart Disease

ObjectivesTo determine the expression of plasma vaspin in elderly patients with CHD, explore the association between vaspin and CHD.Materials and Methods50cases of elderly Geriatrics hospitalized patients with CHD were recruited from June2012to Jan2013,and37cases without CHD as the control group.50cases of CHD were divided into two groups,28cases of stable angina pectoris (SAP) group and22cases of unstable angina pectoris (UAP) group. All subjects were measured the Blood pressure, Height, Weight, calculated Body mass index(BMI),determined Fast blood sugar(FBS),Blood Urea Nitrogen (HbA1c),Blood fat, Serum creatinine (Scr), Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN),Uric Acid(UA). To determine left ventricular ejection fraction by cardiac color ultrasound.To determine the visceral adipose tissue-derived serine protease inhibitor (vaspin) by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),analysis the variation and relationship between vaspin and CHD related biochemical indicators.Results:(1)General information Comparison:Compared with control group, CHD group has more smoker, Combine with hypertension, Lipid-lowering therapy patients in3months, lower diastolic blood pressure (P<0.05). TC, LVEF in Coronary heart disease group was significantly lower than the control group. The age, gender, systolic pressure, BMI, TG, LDL, HDL, BUN, SCR, UA, FBS and HbA1c are not statistically significant among two groups (P>0.05).(2)Compared with control group, UAP group and SAP group have a significantly lower plasma vaspin levels than the control group (P<0.05). Plasma vaspin levels are not statistically significant among UAP group and SAP group (P>0.05).(3)The CRP among two CHD and control group are statistically significant (P<0.05).(4)Plasma vaspin concentrations were significantly lower in male compared with female subjects in CHD group and the control group (P<0.05)(5)In CHD group, Vaspin is positively correlated with BMI and LVEF(P<0.05). Vaspin is negative correlated with TG and CRP(P <0.05).Vaspin has no correlations with age, blood pressure, blood sugar (FBS,HbA1c), renal function(SCR,BUN,UA), blood fat(TC,HDL,LDL)(P>0.05).(6)Multiple linear regression analysis shows that:Vaspin is closely related to smoking history, gender, TG, BMI, CRP. Non-standardized regression coefficients are respectively:-1.871,-1.645,-1.776,0.455,-0.393(P<0.05). (7)Logistic regression analysis shows that:plasma vaspin and lipid-lowering therapy are protective factors associated with CHD,but CRP,smoking and age are risk factors associated with CHD.Conclusions:(1)Vaspin plasma may plays an important role in development and process of CHD. Vaspin may be a protective factor for CHD.(2)Vaspin may has gender differences.(3)Vaspin plasma concentrations have close relations with weight gain, obesity, lipid metabolism disorder.
