Comparion Of Therapeutic Effect And Safety Of High Dose Dexamethasone In Newly Diagnosed Adult ITP Patients

Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of high dose dexamethasone andstandard dose prednison in newly diagnosed adult ITP patients.Method87patients with adult ITP were randomly divided into A, B groups. Group A receivedhigh dose dexamethasone(Dex) at single daily doses of40mg for4consecutive days, Group Breceived standard dose prednison(Pred)with dose of1mg／㎏／d for28consecutive days. Focus ontwo kinds of treatment efficacy and safety.Results There was no significant difference(P＞0.05) in the effective rate (83.3%versus68.9%). However, the high dose dexamethasone treatment group showed moresignificant superiority in the time(6.75±2.447day) of patients′PLT achieved peakvalue than control group (9.95±5.967)(P＜0.05).And There was significantly different(P＜0.05) in Long-term remission rate(60.0%versus35.5%). Adverse reactions of groupA were mild and tolerable, comparing to group, There was significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion The large dose of dexamethasone may be a good method with goodeffects and side effects, which maintained for a longer time and increase the numbers ofplatelets...
