| Qingdai is usually used in traditional Chinese medicine, which has the effect of heat-clearing and detoxifying, cooling blood, stopping blood and clearing liver-heat. Because it does not dissolve in water, it often applied in pills powders in Ancient and Modern. But also due to it has the characteristic of lightweight loose body and easy to float, it has poor patient compliance when taken pills powders. Qingdai is usually used in clinical pediatric, but the pediatric should not take the pill powder, when children swallow in drift Qingdai decoction, often caused by taking difficult. Meanwhile, it is inconvenience to the storage, transportation, production work. The subject is taken the the powder modified technology creatively introduced to Qingdai processing, in order to improve indigo and other hydrophobic powder of traditional Chinese medicine’s hydrophilic. Discussing and studying on Qingdai modified technology, the nature of modification process, security technology, the hydrophilic Qingdai (Pieces) and indigo hydrophilic modified processing mechanism.Used the contact angle as the evaluation of hydrophilic modification effect, and researched the mode of action of different alcohols modifier with Qingdai through screening modifier to the preliminary verification of indigo modified technology. The results show that the alcohol molecules reacted to the lipophilic group and indigo, indigo by alcohol-modified hydrophilic enhanced modifier must retain the free hydroxy groups, in order to improve the indigo hydrophilic modifier hydrocarbyl lipophilic group and indigo combined alcohol. Qingdai’s hydrocarbyl are larger than alcohol’s, so the greater hydrocarbyl the Qingdai hydrocarbyl more firmly binding, this judgment can be proved from the change in contact angle of the above experiment.Determined the hydrophilic Qingdai Pieces characterization and physicochemical properties, researched the hydrophilic characteristics parameters of hydrophobic drugs, and explored the powder modified technology improve Qingdai Pieces wet ability mechanism. The results showed that modified by ethanol, the Qingdai physical characterization of changes, such as bulk density and tap density becomes small, enhanced absorbency, reduced flow ability (angle of repose becomes large) the wet ability becomes large (contact angle becomes small), chemical composition does not appear to change significantly, the mechanism study also explain the reasons for the enhancement of hydrophilic Qingdai, it is that modifier hydrocarbyl "dissolved" indigo hydrocarbyl, alcoholic hydroxyl group drifted Qingdai particles surface, thereby modified Qingdai hydrophilic enhanced.Explored the relationship between the contact angle and particle size distribution in the improve Qingdai hydrophilic by a single factor, and used uniform design to initially determine the best process, evaluated its safety through toxicity tests. The results show that the contact angle of the particle size distribution was no significant correlation in the indigo modified process, approximate estimates of the optimal solution:the amount of modifier is19%, grinding23min; modification of Qingdai is non-toxic.Based on Qingdai surface modified technology verification test and the ethanol grind Qingdai modification mechanism research results conclusion, we took two Qingdai hydrophilic processing mechanism model and continue to study on Qingdai hydrophilic processing mechanism, and then choose the best Qingdai hydrophilic processing excipients.
