| Objective:A clinical efficacy observation is carried out to evaluate the treatment effect of the modification prescriptions of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)—Compound Muyanning Decoction on different syndromes of anterior uveitis.Methods:50cases, both sexes, which meet the standard diagnostic criteria of anterior uveitis, were selected from the confirmed cases of the Ophthalmology Department, the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University Of Chinese Medicine (HLJUCM), from April2013to December2013. A randomized controlled trial was carried out, in which the50cases were divided into two groups, the control group (24cases,27eyes) and the experimental group (26cases,31eyes) approach. The experimental group underwent the western medicine treatment (same as the treatment of the control group), combined with TCM treatment of the concentrated granule of the modification prescriptions of Compound Muyanning Decoction, which are provided by the TCM pharmacy of the First Affiliated Hospital of HLJUCM (produced by Tianjiang Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. Jiangyin City, Jiangsu province). The control group underwent routine western medicine treatment, such as cvcloplegic, corticosteroids ocular humor and non steroidal anti-inflammatory ocular humor et.al. The observation period of these two groups are four weeks, with2weeks regarded as a course of treatment. After2courses’follow-up, a statistics comparison and analysis on visions, special signs and symptoms, ocular inflammation situations, clinical symptoms of TCM, the counts of total C-reactive proteins and recurrence circumstances of the anterior uveitis inter and between the two groups is carried out, on different time points of treatments.Results:1. The curative effect aspects:the experimental group possesses an obviously better therapeutic effect and evidently lower recurrence rate than the control group (the statistical comparison results: P<0.05);2. The visual aspects:A comparison on patient visions was made inner and between the control group and the experimental group, on different time points of3d、7d、10d、14d、21d、28d. The inner-group comparison results show that the treatment effects of two groups are significant on the time point of14d, after14d the curative effect change of control group is not obvious; while the treatments of the experimental group are continue to be effective. And The between-group comparison results show that, from the7th day, the visual improvements of the experimental group are statistically higher than those of control group significantly (P<0.05);3.The specialty signs and symptoms and ocular inflammations aspects:A comparison on specialty signs and symptoms and ocular inflammations was made inner and between the control group and the experimental group, on the different treatment points of3d、7d、1Od、21、28d, The inner-group comparison results show that the treatment effects of two groups are significant on the time point of14d, after14d the curative effect change of control group is not obvious; while the treatmenis of the experimental group are continue to be effective. And The between-group comparison results show that, from the7th day, the specialty symptoms and ocular inflammations of experimental group are statistically higher than those of control group significantly (P<0.05);4.The signs and symptoms of TCM aspects:A statistical comparison on signs and symptoms of TCM was made inner and between the two groups, on different treatment points of7d、14d、2ld、28d, The comparison result shows that the inner-group difference between the TCM symptoms of prior treatment and those of after two-weeks treatment, has a statistical significance (J<0.05), which suggests the treatments of both two groups are effective. Compared the TCM symptoms of after two-week treatment to those of after four-week treatment, the TCM symptoms of control group change little (P>0.05), while the treatments of the experimental group are continue to be effective (P<0.05). A statistical comparison between two groups shows, since first week-treatment, the difference between two groups has a statistical significance (P<0.05), which illustrates that the treatment effects of experimental group are better than those of control group.5、The total C-reactive protein aspects: A cornparision on the total C-reactive protein was made inner and betweentwo group. on different time points of3d、7d、10d、14d、21d、28d, The inner-group comparison results show that the treatment effects on the total C-reactive protein of two group are both significant(P<0.05). And the between-group comparision results shOW that, since the3rd day, the decreases of the total C-reactive proteins of the experimental group are statistically significantly faster than those of control group significantly (P<0.05)Conclusions:1. The clinical improvements of the patient visions, ocular inflammation, syndromes and signs of TCM, the counts of total c-reactive proteins and recurrence circumstances of the experimental group (the routine treatment of Western medicine combined with TCM Compound Muyanning Deeoction) are obviously better than those of controlled group (the routine treatment of Western medicine).2. The TCM Compound Muyanning Decoction can improve and recover the visual function in patients with anterior uveitis, control the inflammation situation, eliminate the local and systemic signs and symptoms, decrease the courts of C-reaction portion and hypersensitivity C-reaction portion, which suggest Compound Muyanning Decoction has an obviousanti-inflammatory effect. and can reguiate the body immune function.3.The treatment method of the routine treatment of Western medicine Combined with TCm Compound Muyanning Decoction on anterior uveitis can shorten the course of the treatment to a certain extent, reduce the side effects of hormones and anterior uveitis recurrence rate greatly, which suggest that this treatment metbod get a very perfect curative effect. |
