Ultrasound Guided¹²⁵I Radioactive Seeds Interstitial Advantages For The Treatment Of Advanced Pancreatic Cancer

Objective: To explore the interstitial implanted125I radioactive seeds guided byultrasound efficacy and safety of treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer.Method: By collecting our hospital during March2010~2010in October17cases of patients with advanced pancreatic cancer treated125I radioactive seedsimplantation.Including Ⅱ period3cases,8Ⅲ period, Ⅳ period6cases, Ⅳ midtermwith5cases of liver metastasis,1case of abdominal wall metastasis.There are4cases of open line125I seeds treatment,13cases of percutaneous line125I seedstherapy, treatment of seeds in4patients on related surgical treatment.All patientswith general anesthesia.Intraoperative ultrasound to check the distribution of theseeds, the postoperative quality verification by CT.The meal time and pain relief inpatients with postoperative observation, postoperative chemotherapy according topatients condition.Postoperative follow-up of4~30months, every time reviewtumor markers (CA199), abdominal colour to exceed, pancreas, CT, etc.Results:12patients with postoperative abdominal dull pain on preoperative v.2~3days of pain relief in11cases, persist in1case, including4cases of patientswith complete pain relief, and7cases of partial response.The effective rate was91.7%.Lower back pain alleviate postoperative pain8cases,9patients withcomplete remission in2cases, partial in5cases, the effective rate was87.5%.4casesof patients with diarrhea,1case of postoperative symptoms were anorexia patients,3patients with jaundice, implanted before2underwent biliary intestinal anastomosis,3cases of postoperative patients with jaundice were disappeared, efficient is100%.Postoperative bleeding in1case appeared, to suit the bleeding stopped after processing.Postoperative pancreatic CT local control review of the effective rate was70.6%(12/17cases),17patients all existing live in2cases,5cases died ofpancreatic tumor recurrence,6cases died of liver metastasis,2cases died ofabdominal multiple metastatic carcinoma,1case died with systemic metastasis,1case died of heart disease.Ending on follow-up, survival shortest4months, thelongest40months, the median surial.Conclusion: the interstitial implanted125I radioactive seeds guided byultrasound treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer can effectively relieve symptoms,local control tumor lesions.Make some patients prolong the survival period.In underthe guidance of ultrasound at the same time, with minimally invasive, safe andconvenient operation, low complication rates of advantage, after the radioactiveseeds implantation, such as chemotherapy, have hope to further improve the curativeeffect.
