Clinical Analysis Of Permanent Implantation Of ¹²⁵I Radioactive Seeds Under Ultrasound Guidance In The Treatment Of Celiac Tumors

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy,safety and feasibility of ultrasound-guided interstitial brachytherapy with ¹²⁵I radioactive seeds in the treatment of abdominal tumor.Method:Retrospective analysis of the abdominal cavity treated by permanent implantation of ¹²⁵I radioactive seeds in gastrointestinal colorectal anus surgery guided by ultrasound from January 2015 to September 2017 in the Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital Jilin University.There were 208patients with tumor.There were 91 cases of pancreatic cancer,76 cases of liver cancer,35 cases of retroperitoneal malignant tumor and 6 cases of recurrence of rectal cancer,among which 108 cases were male and 100cases were female,aged 29-83 years.The mean age was 51.5 years old.The main symptoms of the patients were pain in the lesion area and involved area.The patients were followed up before and after operation.Objective to evaluate the local control of tumor.After long-term follow-up,the survival time of the patients was counted.The process of permanent implantation of ¹²⁵I radioactive seeds under ultrasound guidance for the treatment of abdominal neoplasms,the complications,the recent curative effects and the feasibility of the treatment were analyzed retrospectively.Results:208 patients with abdominal tumor were treated with permanent implantation of ¹²⁵I radioactive seeds under ultrasound guidance.The operation was successful.All patients were followed up for 1.5⁴3.2months,21 patients were still alive after 43.2 months follow-up,including 10 patients with pancreatic cancer.There were 6 cases of liver cancer,4 cases of retroperitoneal tumor and 1 case of recurrent rectal cancer.Pancreatic cancer group:Of the 91 patients with pancreatic cancer,57 had pain in the upper abdomen and back before operation,16 had complete relief,34 had partial relief,and 7 had no or no relief.The effective rate was 87.7%;On March,the local control rate of the tumor was 81.3%.The median survival time was 11.9 months,and the 1 year survival rate was 46.4%.Liver cancer group:Of the 76 patients,39 were self-reported before operation,12 were completely relieved,21 were partially relieved,and 6were mild or ineffective.The effective rate was 84.6%;After March,the local control rate was 81.5%.The median stage was 17.7 months,and the1 year survival rate was 78.2%.Retroperitoneal tumor group:Most of the 35 patients reported pain before operation,complete relief in 4 cases,partial relief in 21 cases,mild or ineffective in 10 cases.The effective rate was 71.4%.The local control rate was 74.2%.The median survival time was 16.2 months,and the 1year survival rate was 69.5%.Recurrent rectal cancer group:The local control rate was 83.3%,the median survival time was 13.2 months,and the 1-year survival rate was about 64.7%.Conclusions:1.Permanent implantation of ¹²⁵I radioactive seeds between tissues can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms,solve the problems of advanced tumor,metastatic tumor,recurrence tumor can not be dealt with.At the same time,the possibility of local control or clinical complete control of tumor focus can improve the quality of life and prolong the survival time.2.Permanent implantation of ¹²⁵I radioactive seeds in the treatment of abdominal tumor is safe and feasible,easy to operate,less complications,and so on.3.Ultrasound guidance can show the whole operation in real time.And accurate location,easy to operate,no radiation,less collateral damage.¹²⁵I radioactive seeds,ultrasound guided,abdominal neoplasms,permanent intertissue implantation in treatment.
