[Objective]1. To evaluate the use of Xinxiaogan to prevent the demineralization of enamel caused by fruit juice in vitro.2. To evaluate the use of Xinxiaogan to treat the dental erosion caused by fruit juice in vitro and provide experimental evidence for the widely use of this new material in clinic.[Method]Collect40fresh maxillary third molars with whole crown, then made them into enamel samples, and divided into two groups:1. the study on prevention of dental erosion in vitro:take30tooth blocks, were randomly divided into three groups (control group, juice drinks group, juice drinks+Xinxiaogan group).7days later, observe the morphological changes of enamel surface by the scanning electron microscope.2.T the study on treatment of dental erosion in vitro:select50tooth blocks, were randomly divided into5groups (control group,25%group,50%group,75%group,100%group), After7days of juice acid etching, and another7days of treatment, recording the enamel surface microhardness of specimens respectively.[Result]1. SEM shows that:the enamel surface become irregular, rough and uneven after acid etching. The surface of scattered pitting depression is covered by the large, massive, sheet-like sedimentary mineral particles, which are compact and with different shapes and sizes, some of them gathering in clusters. They decrease the depth of the depression.2. There was no significant difference among the5groups of samples after acid etching (P>0.05); there was statistically significant difference among the5groups of samples after remineralization (P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the control group (distilled water group) and25%Xinxiaogan group after acid etching(P>0.05); the SNH (surface microhardness) of50%,75%,100%Xinxiaogan groups after remineralization were significantly increased, the difference among them has statistical significance (P<0.05).There was no significant difference of SNH between each following two groups (P>0.05):the control group (distilled water group) and25%Xinxiaogan group,50%and75%Xinxiaogan group,50%and100%Xinxiaogan group,75%and100%Xinxiaogan group. There was significant difference between the control group (distilled water group) and50%,75%,100%Xinxiaogan groups respectively (P<0.05).Also, there was significant difference between25%Xinxiaogan group and50%,75%,100%new Xinxiaogan group respectively (P<0.05). [Conclusion]The use of Xinxiaogan is an effective way of preventing and treating the dental erosion, and it depends on its concentration:25%one could not cause the process of remineralization;50%,75%,100%ones can promote the process of remineralization.
