Comparison Of Curative Effect Between Coblation Inferior Turbinate Reduction And Inferior Turbinoplasty In The Treatment Of Chronic Rhinitis

Objective To compare the clinical effect on nasal obstruction and mucociliary function between Coblation inferior turbinate reduction (CITR) and Inferior turbinoplasty in the treatment of chronic rhinitis,and to explore the reliable and effective treatment.Method Fourty patients with chronic rhinitis were divided randomly into two groups, the CITR group and the Inferior turbinoplasty group. Pre-operation:Perform the Visual analog scale (VAS) test and Saccharin test.During the operation:Recorded the operation time and amount of bleeding about the two groups; Post-operation:Do Saccharin test three months later,VAS test one and three months later, and compared with the pre-operation test. After one week, one month and three months do endoscopic follow-up review, evaluate the improvement of nasal symptoms.Result Compare the two groups’saccharin time before and three months after the operation,and there were no statistically significant difference(P>0.05). Respectively to compare the two groups’VAS score before and one month,three months after the operation,there were no statistically significant difference (P>0.05);The difference of the two groups’operation time and blood loss has statistically significant (P<0.05).Group A appeared in1case nasal dryness and1case of pain after the surgery, group B had1case of nasal dryness and1case of bleeding;After one week, one month and three months of the operation, the total effective rate of group A was75%, group B was80%.The CT showed:in the5ineffective cases of group A, there are2cases is both inferior turbinate mucosa and bone proliferous hypertrophy,3cases is only bone proliferous hypertrophy.The4ineffective cases in group B is inferior turbinate mucosa hypertrophy.Conclusion When do surgical treatment,the patient’s symptoms and imaging data should be combined,and make full preoperative preparation,choose rational surgery.For chronic rhinitis,when the pathological changes is simply mucosal hypertrophy,the effect of Coblation inferior turbinate reduction is significant; and when the pathological changes is turbinate bone hypertrophy or abnormal morphology, the effect of Inferior turbinoplasty is better.For patients with both mucosa and bone hypertrophy joint use the two surgical is better.Two kinds of operation had no influence on nasal mucociliary function.
