Obective:Thyroid associated ophthalmopathy (TAO), Graves ophthalmopathy (GO), is a kind of the organ specific autoimmune disease.It closely related to the thyroid disease.Patients with Graves’ disease (GD) complicated with TAO about25%~50%. the characteristics of the TAO eye is per-orbital tissue invasive disease.The Interleukin-1(IL-1), a inflammatory cytokine,showed an important action in the autoimmune reaction.The Interleukin1receptor antagonist protein (IL-1Ra) is an important anti-inflammatory cytokine. IL-1Ra is competited to combinate Interleukin1receptor (IL-1R) with IL-1. IL-1Ra inhibited the inflammation caused by IL-1. In Iran,the study showed the IL-1RA (MspA1I1100C/T)C allele and CC genotype were significantly higher among patients with TAO than healthy controls.the study shows the IL-1RA (MspA-1I1100C) allele may be associated with TAO among Iran.This experiment invesgates pathogenesis of TAO and provide some evidence for TAO prevention and treatment through the study of IL-IRA gene locus rs315952polymorphism and the association with TAO among the distruction of the Han people in Shanxi Province.Methods:The total of subjects were160cases. They were divided into three groups,there were57cases of TAO,50cases of GD and53cases of CON in the subjects. IL-1RA(MspA-1I1100C/T)rs315952gene typing were perormed among some Han people in Shanxi by PCR-RFLP method.151Using the application SPSS16.0statistical software to analyze the sample genotype and allele. genotype and allele frequencies between two groups were compared by using chi-square test.Results:C allele frequency of IL-1ra (MspA-1I1100C/T) rs315952site: TAO, GD group and CON group were52.63%,55.00%,60.38%; After statistics processing:TAO group compared with CON group χ2=1.204, P>0.05; TAO group compared with GD group x2=1.3399, P>0.05; GD group compared with CONχ2=0.6099, P>0.05; TAO, GD group compared with CON group,C allele frequency differences had no statistical significance; CC+CT genotype frequency:TAOgroup, GDgroup and CON group were75.86%,77.27%,86.67%; After statistics processing: TAO group compared with CON group χ2=1.7012, P>0.05; TAO compared with GD group χ2=0.0100, P>0.05; GD group compared with CON group χ2=0.3289, P>0.05, TAO, GD group and CON group,two comparison CC+CT genotype frequency difference has no statistical significance.Conclusion:(1) A part of han people exist IL-1RA(MspA-1I1100C/T)rs315952gene polymorphism in shanxi Province of China.(2) L-1RA(MspA-lI1100C/T)rs315952gene polymorphism might not be associated with the TAO among a part of han people in Shanxi Province of China.
