Objective:To investigate the relationship between ultrasonographic characteristics and expression of Twist, E-cadherin in breast invasive ductal carcinoma, and provide some guidance for malignancy and prognosis judgment in breast invasive ductal carcinoma.Methods:40patients with pathologically confirmed breast histology IDC, all cases underwent preoperative breast ultrasonography, and didn’t undergo any treatment or biopsy. The expression of Twist and E-cadherin protein in breast invasive ductal carcinoma and normal tissues were investigated by immunohistochemistry En Vision method. Ultrasonographic its characteristics(tumor size, color blood flow, halo sign, spiculate margin, calcification, sound attenuation, aspect ratio, lymph node metastasis, surrounding tissue invasion)and immunohistochemical factors (Twist and E-cadherin) carried out a comparative study of statistical analysis in parallel.Results:1.40cases of breast IDC, the ultrasound imaging is characterized as follows:The tumor size>2cm were31cases, color blood flow by class2~3were35cases, follows:The edge of unclear boarder were29cases, aspect ratio≤1were22cases, ipsilateral axillary lymph node enlargement were25cases, calcification were31cases, surrounding tissue invasion were14cases, sound attenuation were16cases.2.40cases of breast invasive ductal carcinoma, Twist protein positive expression in29cases (72.5%) was significantly higher than in adjacent normal tissues (15.0%), the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). E-cadherin positive expression in22cases (55.0%) was significantly lower than in adjacent normal tissue (100.0%), the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). 3. Twist positive expression in the tumor boundary is unclear, lymph node metastasis, the surrounding tissue invasion was significantly higher than clear boundaries, no lymph node metastasis, and does not infringe the surrounding organizer (p<0.05). E-cadherin positive expression in tumor boundary is unclear, the surrounding tissue invasion was significantly lower than the surrounding clear boundaries and does not infringe the organizers (p<0.05).Conclusions:1. Breast infiltrating ductal carcinoma may show different characteristics of ultrasound images and tissue pathology.2. There is relevance between ultrasound images and the expression of Twist and E-cadherin protein in breast invasive ductal carcinoma, and maybe provide some guidance for malignancy and prognosis judgment in breast invasive ductal carcinoma.
