The aim of this article is to research Aristotle’s philosophy of science, Aristotle’s thought of philosophy of science was profoundly rich; this paper chooses the metaphysics, Organon and Physics to research Aristotle in philosophy of science.Aristotle was the most famous authority in the area of philosophy and natural science in ancient Greece. His philosophy was the promotion and development of early natural philosophy, which absorbed the reasonable factors of early natural philosophers’views of nature, and developed his own philosophy. Metaphysics was set up to be a starting point of this philosophical system; at the same time, the specific science provided empirical support for his metaphysical system.Aristotle founded his logic system in Organon. The universal and effective rule in natural science and metaphysics was syllogism, and it is indispensable aspect in the production of his philosophy. His work Physics was concentrated on the concepts of motion and time in the world, these provided the foundation for him to furthering the study of science of science——philosophy.The subject matter of Aristotle’s research, first of all were biology and physics; then was logic; the last subject was metaphysics. Aristotle’s philosophy was starting from specific science:that is, from observation to experience, and then to empirical theory. It coherent with contemporary philosophy of science research completely. Consequently, Aristotle set up his philosophy of science.
