This paper selects the Nanyang Moral Uplifting General Society as the objectof the study to explore how do it play an important role in the history of thedevelopment of the Moral Uplifting Society of Singapore and Malaysia.Form1939to1945,Dejiao developed rapidly in the Teochew dialect of China, and finishedthe initial construction.Because of various reasons, it began to expand to overseaslately. The first Dejiao orgnazation of Singapore and Malaysia dialect wasestablished in1952.After that it began to develop rapidly in Singapore andMalaysia. The establishment of Nanyang Moral Uplifting General Society impeledthe union of the Zi Group of De Jiao in1956. The Nanyang Moral Uplifting GeneralSociety led the Zi Group of De Jiao in Singapore and Malaysia made significantachievements,The arrangement of the Tantang,the tribute ceremony and the Fujiceremony are quite consistent.They also organized various charity activities, suchas donated medicine, found of the kindergartens, established oscholarship. On onehand,The activities of the Nanyang Moral Uplifting General Society and itsaffiliated huige contacted large numbers of Overseas Chinese, especially theChaoshan Chinese to strengthen the commercial ties and ethnic identity, on theother hand, maintain and aired on Chinese traditional culture. The independmentof Singapore brought significant impact to this organization in1965. Later, theDingwei incident also brought significant difference in1967.After that the Dejiaoorganizations of Malaysia began to make a great alliance. The Nanyang MoralUplifting General Society wanted to restore the previous scale,but it just broughta more serious internal conflict.
