Wandering: Escaping And Returning Of Non-arrival

“Wandering”is an important element and aesthetic attitude running through the works ofHan Dong, and it is also a distinctive literary phenomenon that should not be neglected. Theessence of“wandering”is a kind of spiritual status. Taking“wandering” as a kind of motion andimage, narrative attitude and spiritual temperament, this thesis analyses Han Dong’s texts indifferent periods, and studies the uniqueness and universality of his works in the Chinesecontemporary literature. Meanwhile, from the aspects of time symptoms and the timedimension of Han Dong’s individual writing, that “wandering” is a kind of non-arrival statusbetween escaping and returning can be found，and the social-historical connotations andculrural psychological connotations should also be revealed.This thesis is composed of three parts. The first chapter gives a description of thecharacter image “Wanderer” representatively with a close reading to the texts. To study thenaming and the connotation of “Wanderer”, comb the relevant images and motion forms, themode and the expression of wandering aesthetic attitude reflected on the texts of Han Dong canbe grasped.The second chapter analyses the narrative art of wandering, studies the cause of wanderingnarrative attitude of Han Dong on narrative theory, and tries to analyze and summarize theaesthetic style of wandering narrative.The third chapter studies the spiritual connotation of wandering.“Wandering” reflects thegeneral anxiety in the period of social transformation. The loss of spiritual belief gives rise toemptiness and insignificance. Han Dong confronts the nihility with the form of wandering, andpoints to the suspicion and reality，but we can still find that this resistance is imperfectionbecause of its own characteristics.
