In recent years, the characteristics of teachers’ nonverbal behavior in teaching classroomand its role in Chinese teaching classroom have been paid more attention by peoples,meanwhile, a lot of researches have investigated the teachers’ nonverbal behavior in teachingclassroom mainly from the angle of experience and thinking This paper mainly adopts themethod of questionnaire, investigating the110Chinese nationals volunteer teachers teachChinese in Thailand and105Thai students (12-18years old). The investigation basicallyincludes the following several aspects: the eyes and facial expressions; the space distance; theparalanguage (speed, volume, tone); the body posture. After survey, the writer found that thenonverbal behavior has a lot of problems in Chinese teachers’ Chinese teaching classroom inThailand as to the teachers are lack of nonverbal behavior’s cognition at now, teachers andstudents rarely communicate, and the training mechanism paid less attention, such as teachers arelack of the comprehension about the teachers’ teaching to randomly operate; the wholeeducational government insufficiently understand to the nonverbal behavior. The writer givesome suggestions, firstly the teachers should develop the understanding and handling ability totheir nonverbal behavior, trying to exert the positive side and abandoning away the negative side,and also the whole education government(universities, Hanban) should add the nonverbalbehavior related theoretical courses or training courses for students who will be the Chineseteachers. The results of this investigation can provide an empirical study for making relatedpolicies, in order to enhance and improve the teaching quality and effect in the foreign students’classroom.
