Wenqiji.written by ZhangWei-in Ming Dynasty, is a practical lite rary work for pronunciation and writing. This book includes viewpoints and conclusions toward character, phonology, mandarin, dialect. Not o nly succession and innovation of traditional Chinese Philology in his idealogy is. shown in Wenqiji, the term "mandarin" was also first pr oposed in academic history, which laid the foundation for study and in vestigation of official language. Thus, intensive study of Wenqiji help comprehend Zhangwei’s idealogy of Chinese Philology, and benefit Chi nese Literature History.The article is organized as follows.
