The Analysis Of The Folklore Songs In The Folk Of Inner Mongolia

The thesis consists of preface, introduction, categories of Mongolian folk convention song, manners of Mongolian folkconve ntion song, conclusion and bibliography.The research focuses on songs related to Mongolian folk convention. These type of songs originated from nomadic industry, are characteristic of Mongolian people’s living environment. They show love for Mongolians’ feeling towards homeland, government, religion, parents, elders and offsprings, and good wishes for love and goodness. They are closely related to ceremonial, wedding, worshiping activities. Here the origin of the songs are studied by research through the Mongolians’ particular living environment,basi c form of life and industry and emotion. The songs are categorized into two types based on their content:of labor and ceremonial. Each category is analyzed with example. Analysis of the songs are done in two aspects:singing manner and merit syste m. The singing manner should match the lyric content, reveal the feelings and follow certain rules. Merit system includes deference and friendship.In three sections, the thesis shows that songs related to Mongolian folk convention are the important categories of Mongolia n folk song and can be the essential elements of Mongolian custom. It is an important part of certain tradition and ceremony, can be either main component or play a supporting role in the process. It shows the emotion, wishes and deference of Mongolian people.
