Since Internet was born in the beginning of the20th century, which was rising to make human society entering the network era gradually. In this process, electronic media regarded as the extension of the human nervous system was developing sharply. At the same times, the network literature, a new literature form with the developing of electronic media is highlighted by the academic research. Different people have different understanding on the significance of the existence of network literature, however, which brings enormous influence to the whole China literature. As early as1930s, Frankfurt School started to focus on the research of consumerist society and culture. In China, the consumerist culture as a new concept was concerned by the academic world from1980s. The consumerist culture makes a strong impact on the traditional ethical and aesthetical value, meanwhile, which brings great influence on the research and developing of network literature. Nowadays, all kinds of research about the network literature had been developing, but the network literature was stuck on a label under the context of consumerist culture, which was less mentioned at the scholars’research. In the context of consumerist culture, the thesis, from the ontology of network literature, systematically summarizing an amount of relative document data on the production、 communication and consumption of network literature, explores a constant adaptation and achieving self—realization process with the developing of unique context. Thereby, it comes to a conclusion that the unnoticed important meaning and effect when the network literature was not related to consumption could provide more reference for the developing and studying of Chinese literature.
