Analysis On Error Of Chinese Text Cohesive Devices Of Thai Sudents

This thesis deals with the2nd grade Thai students who study at ChiangmaiPayap University and Silpakorn University as a research object. This thesis analyzesthe situation of the use of cohesion in text of Thai student by the aspect of textcohesive devices.According to the research result on text’s cohesion of M.A.K Halliday, Mr. HuZhuanglin and Mr. Zheng Guiyou, this thesis summarizes the use of cohesion that isaccorded with Thai student. And then using the former theory to analyzes andinvestigates130Thai students’ Chinese writing, summarizing the error of using thetext’s cohesion in Thai student’s intermediate language text, based in the types oferrors induct the characteristics of the error, and also finding the cause andinfluential factor.This thesis composes of5parts. The first part is a general introduction about theobject, the range as well as the significance choosing this topic, follows by thepresent research situation both in home and abroad. Besides, the method andstrategy are raised by the quotable research achievements in this part and cited anintroduction of the language material, the research method to be taken. Moreover,the term related to this thesis and the important of text cohesion are also cited. Thesecond part is the important part of this thesis, in this part we investigate the errortype of conjunction in Thai student’s Chinese writing based on the collected corpus.The third part, is also the important part as well, we investigate the error of referenceuse in Thai student’s Chinese Writing. The fourth part, makes an analysis on the causes and influential factor base in Thai student’s Chinese writing error situation,put forward the main causes which are avoidance strategy, the interference ofmother language, the factor of target language and inadequate training of discourseskills. And the last part is a conclusion of this thesis, some problems that need to befurther investigation, have mentioned too.
