The Study On "through Time-space"Phenomenon In Contemporary Literature Texts

The21st century has witnessed the grown of the new literature, giving credit to the mystery, historic novels, grave robbing novels, with "through time-space" novels attracting a large number of readers. Those stories were transformed into soap operas and had a large audience. As a type of network literature,"through time-space" novel shares the weakness with other types of novels--relying too much on mystery, romance and history, and can not win the favor through its quality, which has been criticized a lot. This thesis will discuss the cultural trend from the following aspects.First part will focus on the development clue of the "through time-space" novel, and define the concept by analyzing some texts. There are two prevailing definitions. One scenario is that "through time-space" novels tells a story about the protagonist suddenly experiences a huge change, and travels back to the ancient time, gets involved to the historical events and some historical characters. The other scenario is that the protagonist comes to the ancient time because of some reasons, and does something in this space.The second part will discuss the texts from literature perspective and extract the features. Clipping and parody, combined with the attitude of mocking the history, bring along an amusing reading and unusual relating model.The third part will be viewed from cultural point of view to discuss the psychological mechanism that enables the fever of the "through time-space" novels, mainly from the consumption perspective."Through time-space" novel is a reflection of people’s daydreaming, and shapes itself as a popular type of novel by compelling the carnivorous consumption by people of the culture.The fourth part will show the due respect for the noticeable achievement, innovation and values created by the "through time-space" novels."Through time-space" novel deconstructs the history to some degree, and forms a multi-dimensional space-time concept.First of all,"through time-space" novels present a trend of following the lead, the plots of which repeated for a lot of times.Second of all,"through time-space" novels lack the depth in thoughts, which is why "through time-space" novels are not widely read. At last,"through time-space" novels are charged with plenty of making up stories, especially those concerning the history.
