The Study On The "Verb+Directional Verb" Structure And Its Evolution In Datong Dialect

The thesis takes Shanxi Datong dialect"V+directional verb"structure as theobject of study，we select four unique directional verbs"jiang"、"qi"、"shang"and"zhuan"，combined with the"Chinese verb usage dictionary"to analysisthe semantic category and the constrains of the collocation verbs.Focus on themeaning and usage of the four directional verbs which are not have in modernChinese.Chapter1mainly introduces the geography and history of Datong，and make asummarise of complement of direction in Modern Chinese and"jiang"、"qi"、"shang"and"zhuan"in dialect on the basis of relevant research hitherto.Alsobriefly describes the significance and purpose of this research and the adopted ideaand language resources coferred.Chapter2discusses the "verb+directional verb"of"v+jiang"structure and itsevolution in Datong dialect. Firstly，we pointed out the directional unique usage of"jiang"，and prove"jiang"is a direction verb in Datong dialect.And then，wedivide the meaning of"jiang"into three categories: directional meaning，initialmeaning and probably meaning，among them，the initial meaning can be dividedinto time initial and state initial meaning.Chapter3discusses the "verb+directional verb" of "v+qi" structure and itsevolution in Datong dialect. Mainly describes the direction and initial meaning of"v+qi"structure，points out that"v+qi"has a unique usage of consequentmeaning，form a resultative verb compounds"v+qi".We focus on the semanticfeatures of the verbs and the semantic direction of the structure，and trys toanalyze two ambiguous sentence"N V qi le"and"V N qi le".Chapter4discusses the "verb+directional verb" of "v+shang" structure and itsevolution in Datong dialect.Describes the four meaning of "v+shang": directionalmeaning、achieve or complete meaning、initial continuous meaning and subjectivelimited meaning. According to the collocation of verbs and object selection，make adetailed study on the difference of the achieve or complete and initial continuous meaning of "v+shang" structure.Chapter5discusses the "verb+directional verb" of "v+zhuan" structure and itsevolution in Datong dialect.From the syntax and semantic perspective to study thecharacteristics of directional verb "zhuan" in Datong dialect. Classified"v+zhuan"from the semantic angle and make a research on the semantic properties，collocation of verbs and object selection of different kinds of the structure. Finallydiscusses the evolution path of"zhuan"from diachronic perspective.In the end is a brief conclusion of the research based on the previous chaptersand explain why we choose the four individual cases.
