The subject of "freedom", perhaps because it has an inner tightly with humansurvival and development, has become an important issue throughout the history ofideas. Almost all important thinkers has had certain thinking and described this theme.Schopenhauer, as an icon who has leaded the classical philosophy to modernphilosophy, also left of the thinking results of this theme. Unfortunately, few peopleshow enough interest with his speech, also naturally very few somebody canappreciate the ideas of modern enlightenment meaning.Schopenhauer’s free theory which has been proposed is not all its individualcreation, but based on philosophy of Kant’s above. This determines that the Kant’sfreedom and the internal contact to the former will be the starting point which will bediscussed in this paper. Second, the concept of freedom is the basic theme inSchopenhauer’s philosophy system, the aesthetic, moral, determinism, and othertopics all based on the former on above. This decides that the mission of researchingon the freedom theory of Schopenhauer will be divided into several plates, this also isan effective way of further expounds its freedom theory. All chapters include criticalinterpretation on Schopenhauer’s theory of freedom, based on this, the free theory willget more thorough investigation.
