Though Art Film has a late start in China, but it has gained a lot of achievements in the world now. However, Chinese art films have a long distance from that of western countries from the aspect of themes, angles, ways of analysis and the popularity. This article wants to give some suggestions through comparing the art films in China and western countries combing with Chinese own conditions to find a practical way for Chinese art films shining in the world’s cinema field.This article is completed by going through the existing literatures and documents, anglicizing individual cases and inductive and deductive reasoning. The purposes of this article are to find a proper way of development for Chinese art films so that Chinese art films could receive more recognition and to provide new researching perspective for art films in China.
