| One of the most ancient music in China-Zhihua Temple music, which has already be existed about five hundred years, has caused the attention of many scholars of music in the fifties of the last century. Mr. Zha Fuxi confirmly acclaimed in the letter<To the monks of Zhihua Temple>that such a temple,which hidden in the downtown,its music turned out to be historical that has a strong connection with the music in Tang dynasty; Mr. Yang Yinliu has visited to Zhihua Temple for several times to do the research and recordings about Zhihua Temple music, after then Mr. Yang worte his thesis<Zhihua Temple Music>,which introduced many aspects of Zhihua Temple music, such as the shape of the instruments, Gongdiao and so about that,he believes that Zhihua Temple music has kept the same musical system with the music in Tang and Song dyanasty; Professor Yuan Jingfang has made outstanding contruibutions in the series of activities of conservition about the disappeared Zhihua Temple music in the eighties of the last century,she has done the analysis about the structure of Zhongtangqu in Zhihua Temple music which in her book<Chinese Buddhist music>.If there is no strong protection of these outstanding scholars and painstaking research, we can not be in the five hundred years after, still be able to understand and appreciate the melodious and graceful music.As so far, there are not so many researches from the point of textual research on tune, verify Zhihua Temple music indeed retains the Tang Dynasty tunes in which. This is exactly the purpose and significance of this thesis.The dissertation composed of four parts:The first chapter briefly introduce the historical development of the Zhihua Temple and Zhihua Temple music.The second chapter is about the research of the existent mucial books of Zhihua Temple music and the cmparison of the versions them.The third Chapter is Literature research into the tune’s investigation in Zhihua Temle MusicThe last chapter is about the textual research on tune of Zhihua Temle Music.This chapter tried to prove that there are tunes of Tang dynasty in Zhihua Temple music according to the procedure of Textual research on tune which originate from Mr. Huangxiangpeng. |
