The Research On Chinese Contemporary Urban Photography

In recent years, the focus of social life gradually converges to the cities and residents of differentoccupations gathered, which makes urban life more colorful. It can be said that the modern city become thecarrier and disseminator of culture, also the political, economic and cultural center. Currently, with thecamera walking into the tens of thousands of households, a referendum photography time has come. Thecharacteristics of photography make it possible to record the city’s development and changes in the firsttime, as the carrier of the life experience of urban life and expression. Therefore, the description of the cityand records of city life and living space, have been an important theme concerned by the photographer. Atthe same time, with the accelerated process of urbanization, urban sprawl and human contradictionsbecome increasingly prominent, more and more problems exposed and more and more areas involved. Onthe basis of literature collected, this paper studies the visual representation of the contemporary urbanPhotography and Urban Photography status, and argues that heritage and innovation, integration andinteraction is the creation philosophy of urban photography, also the only way for the development of urbanphotography.
