| A great number of previous studies have demonstrated that mental health of children affected AIDSare much worse than that of normal ones. Abnormal living condition causes damaging matters, makingobvious the negative psychological symptoms such as anxiety, fear and depression. These affected children,as “dual-disadvantaged onesâ€, suffer unhealthy psychological condition in individuals, families and society. At present, national researches on children affected AIDS focus mainly on education, social publicsanitation, fostering mode and psychological support. Most researches are based on questionnaire andmeasures of psychological intervention. Based on previous researches and late physiological psychologicaltechniques, this research elects saliva cortisol—as an effective measurement to start the psychologicalresearch about cognitive fatigue and emotion regulation of affected children. In order to inspect situation of saliva cortisol fully and thoroughly, this research has been divided intotwo experiments: normal state and stress state. Based on these two states, different cognitive fatigues makedifferent the level and variation of cortisol of children affected, and so does different emotion regulation. Inexperiment1, questionnaire surveys and biological tests are employed to build a model of the level andvariation of cortisol of children affected in rhythmicity model. Besides, the Cortisol Awakening Response(CAR), as the most obvious manifestation of external stimuli to cortisol, is elected as measurement, toprove the effects of different cognitive fatigue and emotion regulation to biological hormone among thiskind of children, which will leads to changes of individuals. In experiment2, acute stress is emulated to bethe origin of acute stress, measure level of cortisol of children affected, build models of stress level andvariation and study the effects of level and variations of cortisol of different cognitive fatigue and emotionregulation to children affected AIDS under stress. Finally, there are some conclusions as follows:First, to those children affected in normal rhythmicity life, changes of their saliva cortisol conformto the rhythmicity model of cortisol; that is, when awaken, cortisol will rise rapidly and peak in30to45minutes and fall rapidly afterwards, but in the afternoon it will decrease slowly, and bottom early in themorning.Second, cognitive fatigue of children affected will influence CAR of saliva cortisol; that is, children ofhigh level of cognitive fatigue will have a low level of CAR. Third, when employing reevaluating emotion regulation in rhythmicity life, the more saliva cortisolchanges, the more obvious the periodical changes are.Fourth, in pressure state, employing emotion regulation of children affected AIDS cannot obviouslypredict changes of saliva cortisol. |
