Mastering effective emotion regulation strategy,especially the negative emotion regulation strategy,is an important task in the process of individual development.As children grow older,increasingly rich social experience,children will encounter a variety of negative emotions,such as anger and sad.If children are able to master appropriate negative emotion regulation strategy,It will help them effectively alleviate the negative mood,maintain mental health,and adapt to social life better.Therefore the development of children's emotion regulation strategy,especially the development of negative emotion regulation strategy,has draw the researchers'high attention.Number of studies has examined the using characteristics of emotion regulation strategy,children's view on emotion regulation strategy and the influence of emotion regulation education.It ' s show a remarkable developmental difference in preschool children's emotion regulation strategy.In the use of cognitive reappraisal strategy and problem solving strategy,senior grade and middle grade children are more than small grade children,as for venting strategy,senior grade and middle grade children are lower than the small children.However,the children's emotion regulation strategy of the most commonly used isn't the same.Children have been able to determine relatively effective emotion regulation strategy,such as problem-solving strategy,as well as have been able to determine relatively ineffective emotion regulation strategy,such as venting strategy.Previous studies have looked at the 3-4 and 6-12 years old children as the research object,but 4 to 6 years old children's view on different emotion regulation strategy is not clear,and still need to study.And in the aspect of emotional education,Lu(2011)and Li(2014)designed a complete set of emotion teaching programs that have improved children's ability to regulate emotion.Emotional education is very effective,but we can still find some problem.It takes much time to implement a series of emotional education.So,before the occurrence of negative emotions,whether the emotion regulation strategy training will affect children's emotion regulation strategy?This remains to be answered.To solve this problems,this study was designed three experiments.There are 136 children in the experiment.Study one in order to ensure whether the children's use of emotion regulation strategy is influenced by the grade of child,when they meet the similar situation as the story.In study one,Dennis and Kelemen's(2009)about the design of anger and sad situations story were used.We asked the children to report their emotion regulation strategy.Study two in order to ensure whether the children's emotion regulation strategy rating is influenced by the type of emotion regulation strategy.In study two,we used the research paradigm that designed by Dennis and Kelemen(2009).We asked the children to rate six emotion regulation strategies.Study three in order to ensure whether the children's emotion regulation strategy is influenced by the emotion regulation strategy training.In study three,we used the research paradigm that designed by Jiang and Qian(2015).Emotion regulation strategy training mainly conducted in the form of a story.Based on the conditions of this study,we can draw the following conclusions.(1)The Emotion regulation strategy training has improved the effective emotion regulation strategy in sad situation.There's a remarkable increase of children's use of problem-solving strategy,and a decrease of passive strategy and self soothe strategy.(2)Significant difference was found in the effectiveness of emotion regulation strategy's score that children rated.Problem solving strategy has the highest score,venting strategy has the lowest score.(3)children's use of emotion regulation strategy is influenced by the grade of child.Cognitive reappraisal and behavioral distraction strategy gradually increased along with the age growth.
