Languages are important tools for exchange of human thoughts and emotions. The speaker has to put his ideas over clearly enough to make himself understood, which is the established rule in speech communication. However, for some reason the speaker hides his true thoughts behind the literal sense, which can only rely on the listener to figure out its extra linguistic knowledge to realize the true meaning of the discourse.
