The Reason And The Condition Of The Differentiation Between The Ma (麻) And Yu (鱼) Rhyme

The pronunciation evoludes constantly, the Yu(鱼) categoryevoludes Mo(模) rhyme which is the1st grade,the2nd grade Ma（麻）rhyme and the3rd grade Ma（麻）rhyme,Yu（鱼） rhyme,Yu (虞) rhymein the medieval times. That the Ma （麻）rhyme has both the2ed and the3rd grade leads to the condition that the Ma（麻）rhyme which belongs tothe3rd grade becomes opposed to the Yu（鱼）rhyme.How to undersandthe relationship between them decides the Yu (鱼)category’s phoneticform of ancient times.At present,this problem has not been solved.On the base of Guangyun and refering to the books named A NewRevision of Guangyun(Sung Edition) written by Yu Naiyong and ZhouZumo’s Revision of Guangyun, the author collects the PolyphonicCharacters in the rhyme of Ma（麻）and Yu（鱼）. After that, we based onthe resourses from Old Chinese verses and scripts and the old pronunciation system of Pro.Jin Lixin, who is the tutor and makes thosecharacters as the research objects. Then the author uses them to deeplydiscuss the relationship between the Ma（麻）and Yu（鱼）rhyme.The article is mainly divided into three parts. The1st part talksabout the opposition between the Ma（麻）and Yu（鱼）rhyme. The2ndpart analyses the Polyphonic Characters in the Ma（麻） and the Yu（鱼）rhyme to survey whose pronunciation appeared later. On the basis of that,the author introduces the reason why the Ma（麻）rhyme is opposed to theYu（鱼） rhyme with the unconditional and conditional evolution ofpronunciation.
